Just to kick things off I thought I would introduce you to my favorite travel partner, Michele, my wife of 40+ years. This image is an example of most of the pictures I take of her when we travel. A glass of wine (in this case a crisp French rosé, but most often a red or sparkling of some type - girls got to have what a girls got to have), the smile and sunglasses are her trademarks. Get used to it, as you'll be seeing this pose a lot.
Our personal travel revolves around a small group of people that I'm willing, and happy, to travel with for multiple weeks at a time. Of course this is a big change from operating group programs of 10 -1,000+. but doing the big has made me better at appreciating the small. I loved each and every program, for a host of reasons. With my business travel, I've been lucky to have great clients and their guests who have made being on the road with them much easier than it might have been. The net result of all of this is I've been able to make a career of travel to great destinations, experiencing amazing hotels, restaurants, and activities that most can only dream of, and a host of new and wonderful friends. As I said, I've been lucky. Lucky, perhaps, in ways I never envisioned. In addition to my personal success, as I near the end of my active working career, starting in late 2018 (the process began with an email while on a cruise with industry friends) as you may already know, I sold the company to Patti Palacios, President and founder of GlobauxSource. Suddenly, without the restrictions on my time and effort that running a company required, I was able to go back to where I started - marketing. Thinking and working on ideas and opportunities that would, hopefully, contribute to success. Hopefully, as I get up to speed, I will have some of our past, current and future adventures posted to share with all of you. It won't be a straight time line. I'll jump around a bit depending on which trip or event elects to jump to head of the line in my brain. This journey might not always be pretty, but I can assure you it will be fun.
